Who We Are

I am Stevi Clark and I created Honey & Salt with my husband Andrew. I am the photographer, Andrew is the filmmaker. We live in Indianapolis and together we have a beautiful daughter named Gloria. We are hopeless romantics and we love what we do.

Our Philosophy

We believe that our lives are made up of all these tiny, beautiful, and fleeting moments. Our passion is capturing those moments and making them last forever in photographs and films. We strive to create something that feels both old and new all at once. Our approach is simple and refined, all we want is to beautifully document love in its many forms.

What does Honey & Salt Mean?

I like to joke that I am the Honey and Andrew is the Salt, but really we named our business after a beautiful poem about love by Carl Sandburg titled Honey & Salt. It's about how love is grand and romantic, but also about paying rent and grocery shopping. A favorite passage of ours is:

Is the key to love in passion, knowledge, affection?
All three--along with moonlight, roses, groceries,
givings and forgivings, gettings and forgettings,
keepsakes and room rent,
pearls of memory along with ham and eggs.

We love this poem because we believe all those seemingly insignificant moments are what makes sharing your life with someone the greatest gift.
